Rancho Cucmonga City Council, Rancho Cucamonga Sheriffs Department The citizens of the City of Rancho Cucamonga need to be careful when walking their dog or when out for a neighborhood stroll. It seems that Rancho Cucamonga does not have an ordinance protecting its citizens or their pets from vicious unleashed dog attacks. I believe that the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma, and Etiwanda have the right to be protected from vicious unleashed dog attacks. The sheriff that visited me after I reported an incident where my licensed and leashed dog was attacked by a vicious unleashed dog said there is no law in Rancho Cucamonga that punishes the owner of a vicious unleashed dog when that dog attacks you or your pet on the streets of Rancho Cucamonga. It is my personal opinion that the city fathers are leaving this sort of crime up to the trial attorneys to enforce. In order to have justice served if you or your leashed pet are attacked by a vicious unleashed dog on public land within the city of Rancho Cucamonga you’ll need to contact an attorney and sue the owners of the vicious unleashed dog and sue the City of Rancho Cucamonga for negligence to protect its citizens and their property, i.e. pets. Personally I would rather see the Rancho Cucamonga city fathers create a law to protect its citizens than having to rely on civil court action.
