MYVID.COM / DVD scam

MYVID.COM / DVD scam We received a solicitation from MYVID.COM at the time of my son's graduation from high school to purchase DVD of the graduation ceremony. The solicitation included his student ID number, so we believed the school had provided this company a mailing list for sending such solicitations. We ordered a copy of the DVD and several weeks later received an empty DVD container in the mail, from MYVID.COM. We called the number on the DVD case, and were told the DVD would be mailed to us later that same week. (This was early August) A couple of weeks later, when it did not arrive, we called again, and were given an e-mail address at Yahoo.com, and were assured if we sent the email it would receive personal attention and the DVD would be mailed to us right away. We sent the e-mail, but did not receive the DVD. Today, we called to follow up yet again, and found both telephone numbers were unavailable or disconnected. There was no voice mail and no way to leave any message. We went to their website, MYVID.COM and found it was also unavailable. . . no search engine could find a working link. What do you think? Were we scammed, or what!?!? From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 30-Sep-06 18:50:40 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
