J. Clawson Photography Fraud

Joanessa Clawson Photography operates out of Riverside County, and has

been recruiting customers from San Diego and Los Angeles counties. She

has shown customers a flush mount album produced by Graphistudio (an

international company), and claimed the photographs therein are her

own. The album contains photos of three weddings, in New Mexico, San

Francisco, and Italy. She described in great detail how she and her

husband took the photographs, and which lenses they used. However, the

photos are not theirs. The album is a sample produced by the company

as an example of the kind of album you can have produced, and the

photographs were taken by a contract photographer out of Houston. The

"wedding" in Italy was really just a portrait session set up by Graphi

for the purpose of the album. Now that her fraud has been exposed,

they are refusing to refund deposits, even though the contracts on

which the fraud is based are invalid due to her intentional

misrepresentation. Her husband admitted the fraud to me, and promised

to return the deposit. To date, I have not received the deposit.
