a very upset consumer re disney on ice and the lakeland center Hello, I can only hope you are not the manager that I spoke to Sept 2 at the box office at 4:30pm regarding disney on ice I will send this email to a couple others to make sure. I am not angry or saying this is your fault however I feel it necessary to tell my story. I understand policy and regulations especially with disney. I am talking now about HUMAN COMPASSION! without me and others like me noone would go to the lakeland center. I will continue to go to The Forum from now on anyway. My husband and I are prominent business owners in Lakeland. In July my brother in law who is a LPD detective was able to purchase tickets for Disney on Ice for me my mother and my 7 year old daughter as a gift. He held on to the tickets for me until the day of the show. We believed they were the 7:30 showing. As this had been planned for a long time my child was very excited and dressed up in her disney best as cinderella. I picked up the tickets at 4:00pm and opened the envelope and my heart sank...the show time was for 3:30. I immediately got to the box office and explained my situation. I was regarded as a rediculous pion and was told to wait while the ladies snickered and got the manager. The manager was robotic and uncompassionate and told me there was nothing she could do. NOTHING! I asked if the tickets could be exchanged for a nose bleed 7:30 showing and was told I should have know when my show time was and was presented with a patronizing smile. Well I guess those ladies didn't see my mother down from Ohio and my very upset little 7 year old in the jeep waiting for me. Yes, I thought from the beginning the tickets were for 7:30 and theoretically it was my fault but I know this could have been handled as a case by case situation there is always something a person can do. As owner of my business I would never have turned a consumer away in that manner. I was so frustrated I left the office and sat down on a ledge and cried. A worker for the lakeland center came up to me and asked if there was anything she could do that she had heard about the situation. She told me you all are ferocious about tickets and getting every drop of monies you can. So, I can only assume Disney and The Center were hoping to sell every ticketed seat for Sept 2 7:30 show. This was a very sad thing and an honest error made and We received nothing but sarcasmn and snickering and an I could care less attitude. Policies and rules .... Yes , I understand, I want to know how many empty seats were in that building that night. As for monies I paid my $55 dollars. I have inserted a photo to show who was really hurt by the apathetic attitudes of your staff.
