I've just talked to Rowenta, only my second LIVE conversation after 6 or 7 phone calls.

I purchased a Rowenta Precison Iron at Linen N Things and have had nothing but problems since. I've tried 6 different kinds of water, including Poland Springs, and the iron continues to eject large grains of a white substance and today a rust colored liquid.

Ovbiosuly, it has ruined more than one item of clothing at this point, and I'll be damned if I'm going to throw away a brand new iron, when my old one was over 20 years old.

 

Rowenta said because it's out of warranty, and even though I called with the same complaint when it was brand new, they will not service it without charge. THIS IS NOT STANDING BY YOUR PRODUCT. Evidentally, after checking some other web sites, it appears I'm not the only one with this problem.

 

A WORD TO THE WISE---DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY WON'T STAND BEHIND THEM, AND WILL MAKE EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK WHY IT IS YOUR FAULT. I EVEN READ THE THE WATER QUALITY REPORTS THAT I GOT FROM MY STATE AND CITY TO PROVE THERE IS NOTHING FUNKY IN OUR WATER, AND THEY STILL INSIST THE PROBLEM IS MINE NOT THEIRS. LOVELY PEOPLE.
