LUNA Carpet and Floors

I'd like to register a complaint concerning carpet I bought through Luna

Carpet and Floors in the Chicago Area. (773) 202 - LUNA. The installers

were to arrive between 3 and 5 pm and came at 4:55. I asked if they were

really going to start such a big job so late in the day and they said yes it

would go very fast. At 9:00pm they asked to use my vacuum, which they

proceeded to overfill and burn out the motor. The floor was only half

vacuumed and the furniture not returned to its original place and it was

9:30 with no vacuum to use, so I just sent them home.

I followed up and called customer service the next day to let them know

the installers had no vacuum cleaner of their own, used mine and broke it

and the condition of the end result. I was told "it would be passed along

to a manager." Three days later and two more phone calls I got the same

reply. On the 5th day a message was left that said they would like to come

out and see the vacuum and would call again to set this up. After another 6

days, I called them to ask what was the status and was told yet a 4th time,

"it will be passed along to a manager."

I think that if a crew is installing carpet they should have their own

industrial strength vacuum for use in cleaning up and that no crew should be

at a customer's home so late in the day. Finally, I think a situation like

this would warrant an immediate response from someone at Luna, and not a run

around, where I get a different person each time I call and the same pat

answer. I have yet to speak to a manager.

So beware! The carpet might be cheaper than other places, you pay the

price in other ways! For me it was a $200 vacuum.
