EARTHLINK IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE ON EARTH!


I spent nearly a month with no DSL signal despite phone calls to earthlink's

tech support almost daily with cumulative HOURS and HOURS spent on

hold...for one solid week they didn't even answer the phone. Instead, they

had a message saying they were "experiencing heavy call volume please call

back", at which point they disconnect the line. As I type this, I have been

disconnected by a technician attempting to transfer me to yet another dept.


I have been disconnected probably 20 times (usually after being on hold for

over 30 minutes).


After breifly getting the service back up, it is down again and I've had an

open trouble ticket for a week. I have spent another week on interminable

holds, disconnects and transfers to people who transfer me back to where I

started. Today I received an email that the problem was resolved and the

trouble ticket was closed. I still have no DSL signal. After finally

getting through to someone, I was told that a representative would call me

in 5 days. That's it!


Every single customer support person that answers the call clearly is

looking for any opportunity to either get the customer off the phone or

transfer the call to someone else. Never seen anything this bad anywhere.
