I had signed up for AT&T Wireless in the beginning of my senior year in high school. I had informed the sales person that at the end of the year I would be moving to Montana to go to college. He told me that was not a problem and that I would be able to simply switch to a Montana AT&T wireless provider. When I arrived in Montana I was unable to find AT&T service (although I was assured that Montana was supported by AT&T wireless). I called customer service to tell them of the issue and asked if we could work out a plan where either there was no roaming for the remainder of the contract or that I would be able to terminate the contract without penalty. They agreed to neither and were very rude. I still “owe” them for the early termination fee which I am disputing and refuse to pay. The company was unwilling to make ANY compromise. And the customer service representatives and managers that I talked to were rude.
