Dis-honour reservation ticket from Booking.com Dear Sir/ Madam, I have encountered this situation when I used the service of Booking.com and I need some advice from you. On 28/09/06, I had booked a 3 nights stay from 28/12/06 to 31/12/06 in Hotel Jardins de Paris Alésia Montparnasse through Booking.com which was published at EUR5 per night. Subsequently, Booking.com had also sent me the booking confirmation with the confirmation number of 84543258. But, later they informed me that they cannot honour the reservation. They requested me to deal with Hotel Jardins de Paris Alésia Montparnasse directly since it is the Hotel which put up the rate. I was totally disappointed with the service of Booking.com. I told them that this matter is between Hotel Jardins de Paris Alésia Montparnasse and Booking.com. I am only an online user booking a hotel room through Booking.com website. I have also query Booking.com what is the meaning of “confirmation”in the context of their company. The whole transaction has been confirmed and the company can just deny it. What is the purpose of booking confirmation in the first place if it does not serve the purpose at all! Soon after that, Hotel Jardins de Paris Alésia Montparnasse also informed me that they cannot accept our booking. But, i have already received my booking confirmation for the 3 nights. It is very irresponsible of these companies, Booking.com and Hotel Jardins de Paris Alésia Montparnasse to treat us online users like that! Please advice me on my rights and what should I do next. They (at booking and the hostel) not only did tell us that by the time we did the reservation, the hostel was already full but they didn't record the cancellation we did online. They never sent us an email confirmation for the cancellation and they did charged us for the room. In addition, the people from the hostel (El Alfarero)threatened us with taken us to curt if we didn't pay for the night or talked against them. we felt mistreated and although we have had used booking.com in Europe, Latin America, The United states and China, we will never use it again and will not recommended it.
