Bally Total Fitness Gym Membership

Bally Total Fitness Gym Membership My partner has a 3-year contract for Bally Total Fitness Gym Membership in Los Angeles, CA. He was recently laid off from his job and immediately contacted all providers of non-essential services to put a his accounts on hold or to request payment deferments until he could complete the unemployment insurance process or find another job. Every business granted his request and thanked him for contacting them EXCEPT for Bally Total Fitness. Not only did Bally ignore his request to place his membership on hold, responding only with a badly Xeroxed copy of their cancellation policy (which essentially explained that he did not meet their requirements for cancellation of his contract), they immediately demanded full payment of the balance on his contract. When they called with this demand, he explained again that he had lost his job and only wanted to put his membership on hold until he could better afford it. They responded to this by turning his account over to a collection agency, who is now calling him daily to demand full payment and threatening to report this the credit bureaus. Nice reward for someone trying to do the right thing, instead of just skipping out on his bill, as so many people would have done. _____ How low will we go? Check out Yahoo!
