ABC SHUTTER'S MIAMI I engaged in a contract with ABC Shutters on March 17, 2006 at which time I gave them a deposit of $1800. The final payment was to be made after completion. The contract promised the installation of my accordion shutters 12 weeks from the contract date. June 1st was the date which my installation was to occur. Unfortunately, I needed to call them everyday since June 1st. They have given me several excuses why my shutters weren’t installed yet. Each day the owner Bobby Norman promises to have them installed next week. My neighbor had his contract on the same day as me and his shutters were installed last month. He experienced the same treatment. They are extremely unprofessional; they lost my contract and the measurements. I finally threatened to seek legal assistance. When I called him recently he told me that he was no longer starting new jobs. Since he was owed thousands of dollars from people, he was only collecting past debts. I then told him, but what about my contract and the delay. He said, “I’m sorry, you’re going to have to wait.” I told him that I would like a refund; he then said it would take him 6 weeks to send me my refund. His reasons were due to his needing to collect money. At this point since I lost precious time, all I want is my money back.
My patience has been exhausted and my frustration level is a category 5.
