I received BabiesRUs gift cards for my baby shower. I purchased a baby monitor online throught BabiesRUs online and paid for it with 2 gift cards and the balance with a credit card. I received a email 3 hours later that my order was CANCELLED. I called and they advised me that it would 4-6 weeks to get the monitors in stock.

 

I went to BabiesRUs to purchase another baby monitor and went to pay for it with the 2 gift cards. The cards showed $ 0.00 balance. I called BabiesRUs and they informed me that it takes 24 to 72 hours to regift the cards (even though they cancelled the order). It is 9 days (216 hours) later and no money returned to my gift cards.

 

With many phone calls later and no end in sight to this matter....... I have asked for a consumer complaint number to talk to anyone from ToyRUs or BabiesRUs and was not able to get either. The manager told me they don't have a number!?!?! Only compensation they offered me was 10 percent off my next online purchase which I then advised her Thanks but no thanks since the first online purchase was 20 percent off. It is not worth my time or headaches to deal with them.

 

I have asked for a higher authority to contact me since no one would come to the phone and was told they would contact me 24-48 hours later. Well it is the 48 hours and no call.

 

ToysRUs and BabiesRUs do not care about the consumers. I may only be 1 parent but I do have friends, relatives, coworkers and of course a newborn at home they will want to buy christmas, birthday and other gifts for children. It will not be at BabiesRUs or ToysRus ever!!!!!!
