Rip off service To Whom Ever Might Respond, My name is Terry Sherwood, I stopped in one of your gas stations at 1083 Route 46 East in Clifton, NJ to fill up on gas only halving a little under a half a tank. Not paying to much attn to it the guy get my credit card, I think he's pumping my gas, as he moves on to someone else. Another guy comes over and ask the first guy if he pumped my gas he says yes, then the second guy says it didn't run as a credit at the pump and takes my card inside and runs it manually on the machine and comes back with a $40.00 rec. for me to sign, and I tell him its wrong my car could not hold 15.391 gallons of gas being only a little under half of tank, so I start my car my gas gauge does not move a bit from where it was. I ask him to check it, now he says I have to drive my car to make it move the gauge or maybe its broken. Well its always worked before but OK maybe. Being a retired mechanic of 22 yrs. yes its possible. So he shove the gas handle in all the way and tries to pump more gas it shuts off right away which will happen if the handle is in too far so now I think OK enough, I need an oil change any how they have a $19.95 deal on oil changes as I have my oil changed got the sticker in the windshield with the mileage of the next time do, reset my trip meter cause I think my gauge is bad. Well I drive home and to work the next day and on my way home my check gauges light comes on, my gas gauge is now reading empty. So to be safe I stop again to fill up not knowing what the heck is going on. Well $40.00 later in fuel I start my car and guess what my gauge does work! Thank God I stopped again. I drove a total of 105 miles sense the day before. So here we are. I will call my bank next and stop the transaction and I hope you follow up with me and your dealer.
