We brought our beautiful Mustang convertible in to McLea's for a brake job using their $99 coupon. They called and said it would need a complete brake job and the bill was for $420.
A couple of days after picking up the car we brought the car back in to McLea's because the brakes didn't seem to work properly. We were told that it was OK, the brakes needed to settle in, and don't worry about it. He didn't check the brakes, didn't even look at the brakes.
We trusted them, assuming they would be diligent about something as serious as brakes.
A short time later the brakes completely failed, causing an accident that totaled the car. Luckily, no one was killed.
After writing to McLea's about the incident to no avail, I took McLea's to small claims court for the loss of the car, $7000.
Mr. McLea lied and led the judge to believe that we never brought the car back in. When I questioned him, he did admit that they did not bleed the brakes or refill with new brake fluid. They left the old contaminated fluid in the lines. I was shocked that we lost.
After I recovered from the shock and the loss, I wrote to McLea's again, asking them to, at least, refund the $420 I gave them for the disasterous brake job.
Again, they just don't give a damn. I kept taking it back in time after time and they kept saying nothing was wrong. I finally called the lift kit manufacture and they sent me to a reputable shop in Stockton that deals only with new car dealers. The kit was TOTALLY installed wrong and had to be fixed!! I paid to have it fixed and took the bill back to them, they denied to pay for the kit even though I had pictures and a statement from the lift kit company they put it in wrong. I would NEVER EVER recomend anyone ever use this company!! They don't take care of problems and are clearly not qualified to do the work!!
