My Visioneer Scanner has operated eratically lately. Sometimes it would scan, sometimes lock up and not scan. It is now locked up.

 

The error message is: "Please verify that you have UNLOCKED the scanner hardware. The lock is located on the bottom of the scanner. Click OK after you have unlocked the scanner."

 

The bottom switch is on unlock and I have clicked the OK to no avail.

 

The book says the scanner indicator light should be green. It is green when I turn the system on. The indicator light is still on but is now yellow.

 

The scanner was purchased March 28, 2005. It is used in my private office for personal business. I am only in the office about half the time and scanner is used only minimally when I am in the office. It has worked satisfactorily until the last week. The clicking sound it makes when I try to scan indicates that it is in the locked position.

 

Your suggestions will be appreciated.
