sears warrantys/service aggrements i purchased a craftsman weed eater roughly 3 months ago.the item has a 1 year warranty on it. the motor locked up for no reason. i returned it to sears to take advantage of the warranty.according to sears we never purchased the item there.and that no warranty information was in the computer therefor warranty couldn't be honored.it wasn't listed as an item purchased by us when our phone number was brought up.that is how sears keeps their customer information.the sales associate denies we ever came there and another associate remembers us coming there and purchasing the product.at one point they even tried to say they had never carried that model number in there store.now keep in mind this is the only sears store within 100 miles from us. so beware consumers!!!!!! find another company to purchase your items.with sears you will end up spending money on products that will not honor warranty or service aggreements.
