Dear Sir or Madam:

 

On August 14, 2006, My sister and I went to purchase a bedroom set, we spent about 2 hours in the store until I finally came to a decision. I must say that the sales rep. Was very helpful and courteous. After he wrote my order up the office ladies were also courteous and very pleasant. My sister and I left the store went to the bank to get cash to pay for the furniture. I was informed that my furniture would delivered the following Tuesday, and that I would receive a call the day before. I did not receive a call the day before because there was a type error on the receipt I did not notice it until the day of delivery.

 

I waited almost a half a day then I found a piece of card board in my screen door from value city furniture. Stating that they had been to my house, I immediately I called the store I had been home all day, I did not leave home I was awaiting the delivery. The lady that I spoke with in the office said I would have to wait for the following Tuesday for delivery of my furniture. I asked to speak with the manager, she transferred me to the delivery manager. He was very rude. I told him that I had been home all day waiting for the delivery of my furniture, he stated that the delivery guys had been there today, I said not so because I've been here all day. He said that I would have to wait until the following week to get my furniture, I said I paid cash for my furniture I already waited a week and if that be the case I want my money back I paid cash. He said to me that's your purgative you do what you want. I told him I'm on my way to the store to get my money.

 

When I got to the store I asked to speak with the store manager, I explained what was said to me by the delivery manager. I felt that the delivery manager should have been a little more appeasing. Instead he was trying to send money out the door. I did not come in the store to argue, as I was explaining to the store manager the delivery manager rudely interrupted me.

I said to him I am not talking to you I'm talking with the store manager you stay out of it. The store manager stated to me that the store policy for cash refund for that kind of money would take seven to ten business days. I stated I want my money back today or my furniture. He kindly stated Ms.Pacley you will get your furniture today I will have the guys to work overtime. Within the next hour they are loading the truck now.

 

I went straight home to await the delivery, just as I was told they came within the hour. The two delivery guys were so kind and worked very hard to make sure everything was together and in it's place. Some of the furniture was damaged the mirror for the dresser, the chest, I was told by the sales person that he would throw in two bed slats I only received one and one piece from the pub table was missing to make it stable. The damaged items were replaced I also had to wait two more days for delivery. I was very disappointed at that the furniture was damaged and I would have to wait two more days for everything.

 

I must say that my experience with delivery manager was a very unpleasant one. I was real, real excited when Value City Furniture came to the city Milwaukee, Wisconsin because I need furniture for every room in my home and I felt that's the place where I want to spend my money. Because of the quality furniture and service you up hold, your competition up the street gave your store high praises in that they said you have a very niece quality furniture in your store. He also stated that he better not let any one else in the store hear him say that I would cost him his job. I hope that something will be said and done to bring back the excitement that I once felt for the Value City Furniture Store.

 

Because I do prefer to continue to shop with the Value City Furniture Store.
