Don't EVER buy anything from MODA Furniture! They are the absolute worst company to deal with. My father purchased a sofa on August 5th for $1200. The following Tuesday was the scheduled deliver date. Tuesday morning, they call my house stating that "a piece of the sofa was broken at the warehouse while they were preparing for shipment". They then stated that they were going to order a new piece for the broken sofa.

Why would I want a REPAIRED sofa when I paid $1200 for a NEW one? I let a week pass before inquiring as to the status of my sofa. They claimed that they ordered the sofa (notice that their story now has changed to a whole new sofa as opposed to their initial story of a new "piece" being ordered) and that it was going to be received on the 29th.

Long behold, it wasn't in that shipment of the 29th (I had to find out because they swore it was) and guess what....they have absolutely no idea as to when they will receive this new sofa!!!! I've called their good for nothing Customer Service Manager for the Queens office and she said she's sooo sorry and that she would give me a gift certificate for all the headaches this has caused me. After countless arguments between she and I, I requested a refund on September 6. Apparently, her boss is NEVER in the office and hasn't been in to sign the form. Now tell me how is there only one person in a corporation to sign a damn refund request form? And on top of that, they want to deduct 20% of the total

($240) because I'm canceling the contract on a sofa that they have my $1200 for since August 5th and they have no idea when they receiving it!!! Not the way to run a business....yet to this day no word on anything.
