I am a sucker for punishment!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Once again, I have received poor service from Air Canada.


I have come to accept the fact after paying normal airfares to travel you get a very discounted service!!! No food on a 6hr flight is ridiculous


I have lived in Canada for 18 months now, and I feel very sorry for the Canadians. They do not have much choice when it comes to airlines. Air Canada I have had to fly because they control the airways over Canada.


Now I have sent them several complaint letters. I have flown them about 10 times. For business trips throughout North America but mostly with in Canada.


The first four times I flew them they lost one of my bags (now I am never late for a flight so that is not the reason). After sending three emails with no response, I stopped sending more because I knew I would not get a response.


The first time I flew from San Francisco to Vancouver for about two and half days to conduct business now on the first trip I had some very important information in my bag that had been checked (my mistake) but they lost the bag. It arrived to the hotel one hour before I had to fly to London. This made me loose a $10,000 contract. I also had to buy a suite and toiletries. They refused to pay for anything.


The next time I flew with this airline I go my bag 5 hours after arriving at my destination but everything inside was wet!!


The third time my baggage came one day late. With no apology or explanation coming from Air Canada. Just dropped at the hotel I were I was staying.


The fourth time I was again traveling for business to Toronto for a conference again they lost my bag it arrived the next. No explanation or reason for the bag being lost.


 


Now on another trip I was again traveling to London from Vancouver this time my bag came back to me with all the embroidery all cut, the buckles lost and with the lock gone. I did report this to the Air Canada service desk at the airport but was told that they don’t cover damage to bags buckles etc.


 


When I was traveling with my mother to Alaska, I again flew Air Canada and request exit row seats. The check in person acknowledged what I said, and I expected to get these seats as I had checked in three hours early. After boarding, I realised that the seats were in the very back row and they could not be put back. The plane was full except business class. Mind you, the row next to us was empty but we were told it was reserved for Air Canada staff only (these seats moved back). During that whole flight, not a single air Canada person sat in those seats.


After the seat incident, it can to getting food now they had run out of everything by the time it got to the back of the plane.


 


After complaining to a hostess she had the nerve of saying to me if you don’t like the service then fly another airline!!


However, I was happy my bags did turn up on that flight!


I am a frequent flyer with Star alliance and have never been treated so badly by any airline.


Anyways I have had my Rant lesson learnt and warning to all do not fly Air Canada
