innova inc Ultrex excalibur 18/10 stainless steel cookware set About 10 years ago we purchased from the HSN (Home Shopping Network) an Ultrex Excalibur 18/10 Stainless Steel cookware set. The set came with a 55 year warranty. Most of the nonstick surface is coming off, the handles are falling off and now the bottom of one of the pans is pealing apart. I phone the number on the warranty card, Disconnected. I found their web site on-line, sent several e-mails, no response. Today I contacted HSN and was told that INNOVA is out of business and could not stand behind their warranty. The HSN which sold me this product said that they could offer me a $25.00 gift for my troubles. (What!) First of all HSN sold the junk and after looking through complaints this seems to be common. They have no problem taking my money but when what they sell fails they run and hide Second, how does a company like Innova gets away with selling a product with a fabulous warranty, and when it doesn’t work they can just say they can’t stand behind it. I will never purchase a product with the name Innova on it and I have purchased my last item for HSN

Winter of 1999 we purchased the Ultrex II 18pc nonstick cookware set. I have returned it twice only because I do not get reimbursed for the shipping, packaging etc. It has sat boxed in my garage longer than what I have used it. The Teflon keeps coming off. I have recently returned it again and it was returned marked as Return to Shipper: Receiver did not want, refused delivery. Original receiver Innova, Inc. I have ordered a couple of other items from HSN and have returned the items upon receiving because it was defective. Three times and they are out of my life. HSN should not be allowed to continue doing business any. I can't believe I'm still using it though...as I thought this would be the set that would last my lifetime! Ha, what a joke....the non stick surface is all scratched and had to throw out one of the pans. One handle broke, the plastic throws off caustic fumes if it gets too close to the burner,....the list goes on. I just noticed this set of Ultrex on EBAY...buyer beware... I also will never purchase anything from HSN...I got a Bravetti mixer from them with a retractable cord, which no longer retracts! HSN is a crappy shopping network, and has terrible service. QVC is so much better. From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Tuesday, 01-Jan-08 16:02:04 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
