Two children were dropped off last night by an adult in a van to work the

neighborhood, selling books and magazines for "children in hospitals" for

CHAPEL SALES, INC.

After they left, I read on the internet that these children may be being

held against their will to defraud people out of amounts under fifty

dollars, and that there is no recourse except to appear in a small claims

court in New Jersey, with nonexistent results, so that few victims follow

up. I have no hope that the company's claim to "hold the checks for seven

days" is true, but I stopped my checks this morning. We shall see if the

criminals got to their bank a nanosecond before I got to mine.
