To whom it may concern:

I am extremely upset. On 10/4/06, I signed up with your company for a promotional deal with ADT service and paid the $99.00 installation fee with the understanding that a 3-year contract would be all that's required to receive the equipment for free. We scheduled my installation for 10/23/06 because of "digital updates" that needed to happen (otherwise my installation would have been sooner). A week later, someone at your office who wanted to move my installation to a sooner date contacted me. I called back and left a message to make it happen, but never received a return call. All of the necessary paperwork, including the service contract, was sent to my home via FedEx and I reviewed and completed everything. On 10/23/06, I used a vacation day from work and waited for my ADT installer.

No installer ever showed up.

I called your office on 10/24/06 and spoke to Jimmy, who transferred to Chris in your scheduling department. Chris transferred me to Sandy at Defender, who told me that my installation was canceled with no system notes as to why. Sandy also told me that an installer would contact me to reschedule. But, a week passed without anyone contacting me.

So, today I called Defender again and spoke with Erica. Erica told me that Defender did not service El Paso County and that she would have to transfer me to the company with whom I originally signed up for service. She transferred me to Jerry, who told me that Alarm One did not service my area and that my $99.00 would be refunded.

Now that all of the summer specials are over, I have found that I will have to pay in excess of $600.00 to get ADT service. I wonder if I could have found another special in the ENTIRE MONTH wasted because of your company's incompetence.

I will be looking into what legal action can be taken to ensure that this never happens to anyone else. Perhaps you are unfit to be an authorized dealer of a brand as big as ADT.
