We purchased the Bowflex TreadClimber and we have had it approximately one year now. Since our purchase, the TreadClimber has been nothing short of a headache. It will work shortly and then we have problems again in which we have complained several times. Each time, a service repairman is sent to our home and it works again shortly then begins to have problems. During this time, we have had the TreadClimber worked on, serviced, parts replaced, etc. and it just seems like it’s a “lemon.” As you can imagine, we can’t exercise consistently when the machine is out of service and we are waiting for the repairman. I have purchased from Nautilus several times in the past and have found the majority of their products and their service satisfactory. I have never had this much trouble with a piece of exercise equipment and the TreadClimber was the most expensive by far. I also feel the level of service and commitment to customer satisfaction has declined. I expected this well-respected company to do more than continue to try to repair a defective piece of equipment, I expected the company to begin looking at the history of the equipment and note that we have complained since we received the TreadClimber, and I expected the company to be fair and respectful of the fact that consumers such as myself are paying thousands of dollars for this piece of exercise equipment. All of my expectations have been let down. I urge consumers to think twice before ordering this item and read up on it because there are numerous complaints from others just like myself regarding the effectiveness and functionality of the TreadClimber.
