Just Brakes sucks!

Just Brakes sucks!

My husband and I had bad experience with Just brakes in Pinellas Park FL. After four visits and $700.00 to give them a chance to get it right, we finally took it to Dodge . They informed us that it was the bearings all this time which would be about $1, 000 to repair especially since they have been bad all this time. We called Just brakes an informed them of this information and asked how they were going to make it right. They said maybe we should just go there instead. Well, I don't plan on loosing $700.00 dollars for repairs that did not need to be done. It's not just about the money, It is about the fact that we ( as well as any other parents) drive our kids around every day and for them to have such little concern for that is completely unethical and intolerant. They are suppose to be Just Brakes you would think that they would know how to fix them, but they are just out to try to make money off people. Please inform any one you can about them, we are all hard working people and they don't deserve our money!

Diddo, I just averted a similar issue. I took my car to just brakes for the $99.98 special and had a $10 coupon only to discover that they wanted $770 to repair my brakes!!!! My boyfriend was livid as they had dismantled the entire brake system and then told me that my brakes were not safe to drive on. They told me that they would have to fix it all, and could not let me leave things the way it was. They also told me that I needed new pads and shoes all the way around. I new that was a lie, because my boyfriend and I just replaced the front pads a month ago and the passenger shoe was also brand new. The only real wear was the driver side rear shoe which is why I was there to begin with. I understand retail markup very well, but I ask you, is it reasonable to charge $45 for a set of brake hoses, and $45 for a set of springs? By the way, my springs were brand new on the passenger side as well! Or how about flushing the system at $40 when brake fluid only costs $2 a can? What about paying $60 for a brake drum when autozone only charges $25? Just brakes is a major ripoff, and most of its customers end up having to go elsewhere to get the job done correctly. I was sitting in the lobby with a man who had visited them 5 times and they still couldn't get it right?!!!! As for me, I made them put my system back together the way it was when I drove in there, and saved my $770. For that, they did not charge me a dime (because their inspection is supposed to be free). If anyone is thinking about going here, they need to think twice!!!
