2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT Convertible

I purchased my second PT Cruiser in April of 2006. A beautiful 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT Convertible. My dream car. On a Friday morning in September of 2006 with 6000 miles on the car, I was driving the car to work when the oil light came on. I was not far from Crown Chrysler, a dealership in Greensboro NC, so I drove it to the dealership. When I pulled the car into the service line and they checked the oil, there was no oil in the engine. They drove the car back into the garage to perform an oil change and realized that there was something very wrong with the engine so I called Smith Stokes Chrysler Jeep in Reidsville NC where I bought the car. While waiting for them to come and get the car I looked over it very well and noticed that the oil the car had lost was now all over the paint and convertible top. Smith Stokes in Reidsville called me the next monday to tell me that there was too much end play in the engine and the rear main seal broke. The car would need a new engine which was replaced under warranty. I have received no calls from Daimler Chrysler to see how my car is doing. I have already taken the car back to the dealership because it stalled on me and the engine ran ruff for a few days in October of 2006. The dealerships were great, I am upset at the equipment from the factory. I have experienced a "total engine failure" with 6000 miles on a new car and I have little to no confidence in this car. I also feel confident that when I go to sell the car I will NOT get the full worth of the car because of the problems it has experienced. I will also never buy/own another Chrysler (or other brand in the Chrysler family) product again.
