Consumer Complaints I read about this website in an assigned article for a Technology and Marketing class I'm taking at Temple University. I wanted to take the time to post a complaint I had with a company I was ripped off by online called Ipodmechanic. My ipod broke on me, and a friend of mine told me about this place Ipodmechanic.com. I was kind of reluctant to send it in to them, but since they had ALL POSITIVE REVIEWS, I figured it would be a good idea. Well, I sent my ipod in, they charged my credit card and claimed to fix it. They sent it back and it still wasn't working. After trying for a week to get in contact with them, they agreed to take it back for warranty repairs.Their customer service is very horrible. I've had to send them multiple e-mails to get in contact with them. Only when I responded to an automatic e-mail reminder to leave them a review, did they contact me back. They claimed my e-mails went into the spam folder. Anyway, I sent my ipod back for repairs, Only they claimed they never got it. I have the UPS documentation to show that it was signed for, but they claimed that the person who signed for it is no such employee, and that they do not have it. UPS launched an investigation and Ipodmechani told UPS they were having a problem with internal theft. But they kept me in the dark about it. One of their employees stole my ipod and they're refusing to admit it to me or compensate me for it. They took my money and my ipod. After going onto the site and leaving a product review, I discovered why they have all positive feedback; they take the negative feedback down. This has been very stressful for me and has been going one since labor day weekend. My credit card company is sending me the forms to try to get my money back that I paid ipod mechanic for fixing my ipod that they stole, but they still stole my ipod. While it may seem useless to me, them, having the resources to fix it, I'm sure made a decent amount off of it when they sold it. Thanks, Jackie L.
