Detailed complaint:

I signed up for 90 days free trail membership with AOL & my account was not suppose to be debited until after the 90 days. Well 2 days after I signed up they debited my checkings account in which I did know, therefore, I did not put this in my checkbook registery. Well, sometime later I get a letter from my credit union stating I had insuffient funds causing me to have 3 NSF's of $27.00 each for a total of $81.00. I am on a very tight budget & can not afford to pay $81.00 but my bank automatically debited my account for the $81.00. I write immediately called AOL & cancelled my service and advised them of the situation. Well, I got the $25.80 back that they took out but I never to date got the $81.00. This was back in August of this year. I have written the CEO, President of AOL, legal dept. of AOL and the manager of AOL. I wrote the Better Business Buerau and the Federal Trade Commission in which I am still awaiting a response from them. I have wrote some many letter, FAX, and emails until I get someone who will listen to me. I am now preparing approximately 800 emails to send out to various people in regards to AOL.
