Columbia House/BMG Music

Columbia House/BMG Music This is a complaint against Columbia House. I truly believe this company is fraudulently trying to collect for debts that is invalid or false because of their various attempts to collect for debt that are suppose to have been settled.
I just recently received a letter dated October 25, 2006 from Nationwide Collections, Inc. stating a debt is to be collected from me due from Columbia House. This was already settled through the help of Better Business Bureau that was filed on May 13, 2006. As with the last filed complaint regarding Columbia House and their representatives, this is equivalent to the previous situation. In 2003, I had paid in full for a debt owed to Columbia House. Then about 6 months ago, I received a letter from Retrieval Masters Creditors Bureau, Inc stating they were collecting a debt I supposedly owe to Columbia House. As I had stated from my last complaint with Better Business Bureau, the debt to Columbia House was already PAID IN FULL and should have been settled. With the help of Better Business Bureau, Columbia House settled this account as closed and paid in full. Now for a secound time, Columbia House is trying to collect for this same debt through a different collection agency, Nationwide Collections.
I may not be the only consumer Columbia House is trying to pull this type of fraudulent act. I want to warn other consumers so that they may not attempt to settle with this company or the like just to get them off their backs regarding a false debt.
