Your Eye in the Sky in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

 

In Nov of 2005 I contracted for security service with Your Eye in the Sky and on the contract ADT was the monitoring service. In June of 2006, a representative called me and told me that I had a problem with the battery in my unit. I insisted that there was none but I received repeated calls. I called ADT and they received no alert to a failed battery. Finally, I was persuaded to let a service person come in. He did not speak english, he had no ID indicating his position with Your Eye in the Sky. He started working on the box but not on a battery. I told him to leave because I was suspicious of the intent. Later, I found out that they were changing their monitoring service from ADT to Monotronics which has a notorious reputation and other articles written already on complaint.com. I asked Your Eye in the Sky for the money to continue 2 more years of service with ADT as was promised with my contract. They said that, since I was paid up, they could release me from my contract but they would not pay anything so that the 3 years of monitoring with ADT would be honored.

 

I am going to small claims court. Their company was completely dishonest in their dealings. If anyone else has had this problem, please let me know and possibly this could be a joint suit.
