Delta Airlines/Bereavement rates/customer service

Delta Airlines/Bereavement rates/customer service I tried to fly my son home last week for my father's funeral. On Sat., 11/18, I did not have computer access at my mom's house, so I tried to buy a ticket on the 800 phone line. They quoted me a price of 1578. When I was finally able to go home and get on a computer on 11/20, I got a quote of 584 on expedia, still 1578 by phone. My son arrived at the airport at 7:20 and was told he was booked for Solomon Islands and not Atlanta, so he could not board. By the time he got it straight with Delta that he was going to Atlanta to catch another flight to our state, it was 7:35 and could still not board. At 8:50 he called me and told me what was going on. I called Delta's 800 number and was told he was booked for Atlanta. Yeah! BUT he had to pay $25 to get a ticket change and another flight later that day. Delta is a rip-off!! I've emailed them and talked with Delta by phone, and they claim that my son got there too late, at 7:35. He was late by then, after Delta told him he couldn't get on the flight to Atlanta. By holding my son up and telling him he was getting on the wrong flight, Delta is making more bucks. We did not need this additional grief at the time. _________________________________________________________________ Get FREE company branded e-mail accounts and business Web site from Microsoft Office Live http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/mcrssaub0050001411mrt/direct/01/ From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 29-Nov-06 08:33:39 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
