Builderdepot.com Bait and switch...

Advertised a specific Thermostat on Amazon.com as "In Stock". They

substituted a less expensive one, without asking and at the price listed

for the one I ordered.


I wanted the specific one I ordered. Which is still listed on Amazon as

"IN STOCK". I feel this is unethical bait and switching. If they want to

substitute another item (which can be bought cheaper) they should give the

customer the option rather than just sending it out at the same price.


I will update this if they credit my account for the cost incurred for the

item as well as my cost to ship it back.


The other interesting thing is they can bill my credit card right away, but

they say it can take up to seven days to process my return request.
