Office Depot at Merritt Island - Bad store experience on Thanksgiving sale Office Depot at Merritt Island - Bad store experience on Thanksgiving sale November 28, 2006 Office Depot, Store# 284, MERRITT ISLAND, FL 32953 This bad store experience was happened at the Office Depot at Merritt Island - Thanksgiving Friday sale. Office Depot advertised a digital camera - Canon PowerShot A630 for sale ($75 less) with a free printer. My boyfriend and I got up very early and arrived the store before it was opened. There were possibly no more than 30 people in front of us in the line. When the door was open, we got the last two tickets under that digital camera - my boyfriend gave one to another woman. There were two lines and we didn't know which one to get the camera, so we went to the store manager for help. He took the ticket and said he would help us find it. However, after he spent twenty minutes doing something else, he came back and told us the cameras were sold out. Then, he offered to sale us one at $25 off, which is less than 10% off this $300 camera! Of course we didn't take it. We thought he could sale us one with a similar price, because, after all, we did come in to the store early enough to get the ticket! It was a very unpleasant experience. My co-worker told me the Office Depot could have a false advertising. If she's right, I wish all consumers know what may happen to them and avoid the same pitfalls.
