No Support from A&E Factory Service - Whirlpool Authorized Service Provider or Whirlpool or Appliance Connection

To Anyone Who Might Care About Customers,


 


We purchased a new Whirlpool Dryer (approximately $900) two months ago from Appliance Connection in Woodbridge, Virginia. It has been inoperative/unserviceable for the past 9 days. We contacted the company we purchased it from (Appliance Connection) and were informed that they could not help us, that we needed to call the Whirlpool people. I guess when they get your money, they no longer can and have no customer service responsibility.


 


We contacted A&E Factory Service on Monday, November 19, 2006 and were scheduled for maintenance service between 8:00 AM and 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 25, 2006. We provided A&E with the exact model and serial number. We asked if this was a confirmed service appointment and were guaranteed that the appointment would be kept.


 


At approximately 8:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2006 we were called by a local A&E rep and informed that no one would be coming out to service our washer. We reminded them that it was a dryer, and that the appointment was firm. They said no one could come out until December 6, 2006. We have been without our new dryer since Thursday, November 15, 2006.


 


We called the A&E National Service number and were informed that they schedule appointments IAW appointment schedules provided by local service technicians and they could do nothing to help us.


 


They told us to call Whirlpool, which we did, and were redirected immediately back to A&E. We continue to get the run around.


 


Not Appliance Connection, not Whirlpool, not A&E Factory Service are taking any responsibility for customer service.


 


The person we spoke with at A&E on November 19, 2006 was Alicia. The A&E Factory Service rep who gave us the runaround on Friday, November 24, 2006 was Juan.
