This online site turned up from a google search for health insurance plans. It had the heading "the best policy at the best price" and listed well known insurance companies "available in your area", such as Aetna, Kaiser, Humana, etc. I filled in my info and submitted the form to "Get Quotes". The phone rang immediately and I was given a fast talking, high pressure sales pitch to enroll in something called Design Savers Plan or U.S. Health Care Plan. For only $139.50 per month and a $135 one-time enrollment fee, I would receive great benefits on medical, visual, dental, chiropractic, and even be covered for some cosmetic procedures. This was touted to be somehow a special opportunity "opened up" for a limited time and it was suggested I sign up immediately with a credit card. I asked for written material and time to evaluate the plan and was then transferred to a senior supervisor who continued the fast-talking sales pitch. He finally refused to give me a few days to evaluate the plan and said at the end of the offer he was making, it was a "done deal". I was never given any quotes from any of the "available" insurance companie listed on the web page. After I agreed we had a "done deal", I did a google search on Design Savers Plan and U.S. Health Care Plan and found complaints of scamming. Imagine that. Donna in Houston, TX
