Horror Exp. with HDFC BANK My Name is T.P. Singh and I am writing this mail on behalf of Client Name, Charanjit Singh. I want to lodge a complaint with you and want reimbursement of loss suffered plus compensation for the harassment and bad name to my integrity and image, due to fault on your side failing which I will be having no other option but to forward this complaint to RBI/ Media and I will not hesitant to move to Consumer Court to settle the score. Now come to the case. I have opened a Demat Account (DP ID IN301151, Client Id:20503826) with Mayapuri Branch in January’2006 on the persistent insistence of your executive that they will deliver to the best of their services. My first transaction took place in the 2nd week of Ocotber’2006 in the form of purchase of 7400 shares of Polaris Software Ltd., which was duly taken in my account by the Branch. On October 16th’ 2006, we have directed the Mayapuri Branch to sell the shares (vide delivery slip no. AA425414395 dated October 16th ‘2006) which was rejected and we were told that the said account is deactivated. The reason for deactivation given to us was “Non-operational Account”. We were told to submit the Pan No. Copy and Address Proof to get the account activated which we duly submitted on October 17’2006 and acknowledgement was also taken by us. To our HORROR EXPERIENCE the account was not activated and when we enquired about the activation of account after two days we were told that it has to be done through Janak Puri Branch as their branch is small. Then we went to Janak Puri Branch; they informed that Mumbai Office would do it. Later on when nothing was done, we again approached Janak Puri Branch and then we were informed that Connaught Place Branch in Delhi would do it. Later on finally, it was done on October’26th 2006. Now I want the answer for the following questions: 1. How can you deactivate my account when I have paid the charges for the whole year? 2. If the account is deactivated, how can you taken in the shares in the account and why we were not informed that the account is deactivated so that we must get the same activated before going for the sale of shares? 3. I have suffered a loss of Rs.31000/- (Rs. Thirty One Thousand only). I want the reimbursement of this amount together with interest. Hoping for an early reply from your side.
