Capital One Direct Banking, Houston, TX On October 19, 2006 I opened an account with Capital One Bank. I deposited $1000.00 and another separate deposit of $50.00 on the same day.
I tried to transfer some money back out of the account a couple of days latter I was told there is a 10 day hold on the money. As both deposits were made by on-line transfer and they had received the funds I did not see any reason for the hold. I told them that I was not happy with their service and wanted my money back. They would not let me speak to a manager.
They also told me that I would need to sign the account acceptance paperwork they sent me. When I received the paper work I did return it to them with a demand that they return my money.
On November 1, 2006 I checked my account on-line and it said that entire balance was available. I initiated a transfer from my credit card for $1050.00 to my credit card. That transaction was rejected a couple of days latter and my credit card company charged me $29.00 for the failed transaction.
I spoke with Capital One bank today (11/22/06), they told me that the money is available now. While I was talking to them I initiated another transfer with the credit card company. After I issued the transfer, the rep then told me that they did not have the approval form on file so they would not release any funds even though the funds show available! That will cause another transfer failure and another $29.00 charge.
At this point I just want my money back and this account closed. As far as I am concerned they want to keep my money without ever returning it! From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 22-Nov-06 10:00:49 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
