I purchased a Black Widow Scooter this month and after doing some research after the fact, I sorely regret it. My son was so excited the evening the scooter arrived. I opened the box and inspected the scooter, only to find that the pull starter was not on the scooter but in the box. Upon inspection of the pull starter, you could clearly tell that it was a used part and a part was broken off. I checked the scooter again to see if the starter came off during transit but the broken part was not anywhere to be found.

I tried to contact the company the same evening to see if there was a fix and have not received any response since they received and processed my Money Order ( I wondered why they wanted a money order but it never dawned on my that I could stop payment on my credit card if dissatisfied but would be SOL with a Money Order).

I cannot really complain about the scooter performance like another posting here about the same company because I cannot even get it started. So I thought, the heck with it, I was taken and I will just deal with it myself. I went to their "parts" web site and they didn't even have the pull starter listed. Where was I to turn? I contacted them again via email to see if they could at least give me the part that would fit, they wouldn't even do that. So I finally brought another pull starter from a scooter parts company and that one didn't fit!!!

Again, I contacted New Scooter Center but to no avail.

And also like the other posting I asked for an owner's manual and below is their actual email response:

"Hello, that page is under construction still I apologize for

inconvenience. I will contacting the web master today to get the ball

rolling on that page.

Sincerely,

New Scooter Center Corp.

I bet if you go to that site now, the manual is still not available!

I too am lodging complaints with the Chicago BBB and Illinois Attorney General. This type of behavior cannot be tolerated by a company who's claim to fame is that their scooters are "Made in America". That does not stand true for the company itself. They will take your hard earned American money and leave you cold with something that resembles a product.

Disclaimer:

As of this date I have not been contacted by the company. They have my email address and cell phone number if they need to reach me.

Best regards,
