After about six months of owning this phone the external speaker stopped working. So, I called customer support and was answered by a real person!! Whatever happened to cold impersonal, good ‘ol American recorded messages and long wait times!! Furthermore she proceeded to explain that she would have to send me to a technician to discuss the problem, she explained to him the problem and he was on the line in about 15 seconds, I was perturbed because I was getting ready for a good five minute wait and was getting another cup of coffee. Well, this guy was even more irritating, he actually knew all about the phone and guided me through the diagnostic steps in clear and concise English, it was obvious to me that he was not in one of those Indian call centers my bank uses. Well, after expertly going over the paces he decided that it was indeed a hardware issue, which would be covered by the warranty! Imagine my consternation! I had my credit card out already and he was not even going to ask me for it. The very next day, not even 24 hours later, a parcel arrived at my door with the replacement phone, they even pre-paid the postage for the return of the damaged unit!!! This is absolutely the last straw!! What do these people think, That this is AMERICAN SERVICE???? Where do they find intelligent and efficient American workers? I wanted to bring this to the attention of management because they have obviously failed to completely demoralize and un-train their employees, I hope this is not a trend.
