I have purchased a Sony laptop model PCG-8RIM VGN-217M the price I paid of 2,673 EUROS for a premium product such as SONY LAPTOP When I purchased it I was assured that the product is one of the market and trouble FREE. Considering the brand in question. As I was doing some work with my laptop and all of a sudden the picture on the screen went black after a few months when I purchased the said premium product. The laptop has been deposited with the local agent since last June 2006 after a few weeks i was told to have it repaired I have to pay 1,336.5 euros.I honestly think that this is day light roberry this is not fair to a SONY client ????? considering that I only used it for a few hours DEFINITELY THE LAPTOP WAS FAULTY so I expect that either the laptop be replaced with a new one or else at least the screen is replaced or repaired at no cost.


I have been in contact with Mr Jonathan Velsin from castimer care and I did not get any result except that I have to make a complaint to head office and he never gave me the contact name and email address Every time i tried to phond customer care i can never get throught because there is always an answering machine, now i ended up at a dead end.


Can you please help me and advise me how to proceed. I thank you in advance. Anxiously waiting to receive some good news from your side since this has been dragging since last June 2006
