I have my phone service, internet service and cable service all with Comcast. Twice within less than a month I have had my service disconnected for no reason. A technician simply comes to my house, disconnects service and wreaks havoc on my household. The first time it happened, my husband luckily came home as the tech was disconnecting. When asked why, the tech did not know and only get an order to do so. When we inquired with Comcast they also had no reason why we had been scheduled to disconnect. Fast forward 3 weeks and this time the tech was not stopped. I came home to find I had no phone, cable or internet service. When I called Comcast I was told someone would come over the next day between 8-12. The customer service rep did not know why my service was not working and said that they had no work order for our service to be interrupted. I told her that a man had come to my door earlier in the day and that I was unable to open the door. I suggested that it was probably the tech that disconnected our service. She again said there was no work order to disconnect and that maybe there was an outage in my area. I called a couple of hours later to request that I be first on the tech list the next day. I did not think it fair that because of a Comcast error, I should have to lose hours of pay waiting for a technician. I was then told that there was an outage in my area. I called a couple of hours later to check the status of the situation and was told by a different customer service rep that there was not outage. Again he tried telling me that my service was not disconnected by Comcast. I was livid at this point because I was sure that our service was disconnected for no reason. It had happened three weeks prior. What other explanation could there be? The next morning a tech came. I gave him my situation and sure enough. When he checked the box outside, all of the service had been disconnected. He reconnected our service and called to inquire why this had happened. And no one seemed to know how something like this could happen twice. I would definitely recommend to anyone not to use Comcast. I have since heard from other people of nightmare stories. They are completely inept. For a business this large and covering so a large an area, it is inexcusable to have this kind of thing happen. It seems we are at the mercy of Comcast as there area not many choices out there. I will be looking to change my service.
