Public Storage is terminating my lease

So this time it was going to be auctioned, I owed 2months at 95 per month and was charged total 355 including Novembers rent also. So I paid 300, because I was told I needed to vacate by Nov23/2006, but it was paid up until Dec1,2006. I thought i needed at least a 30 day notice and also in the contract theirs nothing about termination. So there for I with held the 55 dollar since I was told to vacate by the 23rd of November. What are my rights as a consumer. The contract says the insurance co can terminate lease i late on payments, but I never purchased any insurance.
