Doubleday Book Club

As will be no surprise to anyone who searches for this company on

Complaints.com , this is one book club to steer away from at all costs. I

have only been in a few months, but already they have sent two shipments of

books to my house that I cancelled under my feature selections list. The

first one was sent back and credited, but the second one, though it has been

returned, has yet to be credited weeks later.

At first I thought that I would fulfill the remaining 3 books I have left

under my "requirements" , but the way it sounds, they will find some other

trick to make me stay in the club. If anyone has any ideas for how to get

out of this disgraceful con act, please let me know. There has got to be a

large enough demand to get this irreputable company shut down!

Like a fool I joined this club I orderd the 4 books you order at start up pkus two more at the same time to lower my fulfillment to 2 books. I later ordered another book leaving me ONE more to have to buy. NOW they are trying to say I still owe for 3 more books and billing me for $54.57 I have sent them several emails and they keep insisting I still owe for 3 more. I told them I will buy ONE more thats all I am obligated to buy so now they are turning me over to collections. Steer clear of this book club!!!

Call them and ask to be put on an order only basis. That way you don't need to decline the featured selections and they won't ship automatically. For books that you returned, allow 4 weeks. If you don't see it off your invoice call and they'll remove them.
