Class lawsuit should be filed against Capital One

We should all file a class lawsuit against Capital One by the way they treat

consumers! I am appalled that as consumers and credit card holders we can't

do anything to put this horrible company down to the tubes! First of all,

they insult us consumers by giving us such low credit line when other more

prominent credit cards such as Discover and Amex have us with extremely high

credit line. Their customer service supervisors are a total waste! Our

recent incident occurred today when my husband tried to log into his

account. Keep in mind, this Capital One account has a zero balance and was

paid off in Sept. 2006. Since this credit card only has a $500 limit, it's

not used so whenever it's used for little things, it gets paid off. He tried

to log on but said there was a restriction on the account and call the 800

number and so he did. Only to find out that the account has been CLOSED!!!

They claim that it was voluntarily closed by my husband but cannot give any

information??? We were shocked because he never called to close the account.

As much as the card was a pathetic card, he kept the account open because he

knows that if you close an account, your FICO score will suffer. My husband

called twice and spoke with Heather (supervisor) but refused in a rude

manner to give any explanation and even offered to close our other Capital

One accounts. Then he spoke to a Mike (supervisor) yet again and obviously

been briefed probably by Heather because he told us the same rude mumbo

jumbo that the account is closed and that is that! He even said that we are

wasting his time because there are other customers to be helped. What kind

of customer service is this? What kind of company is this? I am extremely

disturbed and appalled!!! We received no explanation whatsoever of why the

account was closed when in fact it was NEVER closed by us! We just needed to

know WHY it was closed when it was in good standing and WHO closed it?!?! I

am concerned that maybe there has been a fraud activity that occurred on

their part but they could careless about anything!!! Something needs to be

done because after finding out how many complaints there are about Capital

One, a class lawsuit should be filed for their terrible treatment of

consumers!!!

They did the same to me 3 months ago. I hadn't had a balance in a while, so they closed it two months ago and kept all my rewards points and refused to let me use them. If it were the other way around and I owed them something, they'd be screwing up my credit report, but they don't care if they owe you. Even Malorie, the manager I spoke to there, said they can't/won't do anything about it.
