What started out as a 40yr wedding anniversary celebration almost ended up with my husband having a heart attach (he has congestive heart failure). I called Elvis Limo Service 4 wks prior to our departure on Oct. 18, 2006. Since we had 11 people going, we paid for services in advance of $440 to secure the reservation. We received confirmation of the 4am pickup time, our address, our phone no., etc via mail and also of payment made in full. The Elvis Limo Service never showed. Several attempts were made between 4am and 4:30am on the morning of the 18th to reach Elvis Limo Service and we always received the same voice mail message… “We are on the line helping other customers, please leave your…”. Messages were left repeatedly. Realizing they were NOT there trying to help other custom4ers, I tried to call 17 different limo services but no one could accommodate that many people on such short notice. Our family meet at our house and we drove ourselves to the airport to catch our flight to Disney in Florida. We had to make my husband run through the parking lot and run through the airport. We literally sat down in the plane, buckled up and the plane took off. While on vacation, I called Elvis Limo Service and talked w/Tom. He assured me the credit of $440 on the credit card and reimbursement of our parking ($303 for 3 vehicles) would be taken care of. We stopped on the way home from the airport and spoke w/Tom who would not even come out of one of the limos in the parking lot to talk w/us even though one of “his” people told him we were waiting. I ended up putting my head and upper body inside the limo so we could talk. He said he didn’t remember our name because he deals w/so many people then told me to come back tomorrow (10/26/06) at 10am because the only one that could issue a check is his accountant and it takes 3 days to process a credit on the credit card. His excuse was his computers were shorted out because of a power outage 1 week PIOR to our pick up. We explained since my husband confirmed our reservation on the 10/16/06 (2 days prior to our departure) everything should have been set and he must have some hard copy to give to the driver… he said he did not have any hard copy. We went back to the Bridgeview, IL office the very next day, as instructed. No one was there.
