Cingular Family Plan
|
Cingular Family Plan For 5 years I worked for SBC and on April 13, 2004, I signed up for a family plan through Cingular. I also signed up on the Cingular Website to view my bill online and do my transactions there. Well, to make a long story short, on April 13, 2006, and according to the Cingular Website, I was told my service expired on 4-13-2006, and I ported over my numbers and service to Verizon Wireless. In my area of Monterey County, Verizon has a better coverage and fewer dropped calls. On may 8th, 2006, I call up Cingular to cancel my service and they tell me that my contract doesn’t expire until June 13, 2006. I was shocked to say the least. I told the customer service person that on their website they showed my contract expiring on the 13th of april. They told me they had no way of knowing that since I ported over my numbers to Verizon. For 6 months, I kepted checking the website to make sure that 4-13-2006 was the date so I could move my numbers and service over. What a complete Rip-off Cingular is. They lied on their website and not one of the customer service reps would help me. I will never do business with this company or SBC or ATT or whoever they are affiliated with ever again. I don’t like to be lied to and I especially don’t like how they manipulate information on their own website. They use technology to squeeze out any excess illegitimate revenue out of the consumer and I for one hope that many many people read this article and move their service away from this deplorable company.
