2006 Chevrolet Colorado

2006 Chevrolet Colorado

In September 2005, I purchase a brand-new 2006 Chevy Colorado (xtreme package) in San Diego, Ca. One month later, the trim and fender flares came unglued from the vehicle & I had to take it in for repair. Got it back & they came unglued the same day. Brought it back after the dealership had to order & paint new trim.

Next thing was a vibration when the truck reached 2500 rpm’s. Took it in, dealership couldn’t find what could be making that vibration. They replaced the serpentine belt, & truck still vibrates. Stereo speaker was also crackling, so they replaced the speaker. In the interim, my back windows occasionally get stuck, & will not roll down. Dealership lubricated the window and it still acts up.

I was so fed up that I wanted to trade in my truck 6 months later with 6,000 miles on it. Dealership would only offer $20,000, & I purchased it for $30,000. I wrote a letter to Chevrolet in Detroit, in which they offered to give me a year of free oil change & lube. Oh boy! How about a decent trade-in!
