Providian

I have had a Providian credit card for several years. I started out with a

$500 credit line and built it up to almost $15,000. I had a balance of

$4,300 and my wife called them to pay it down to 0. She was told they would

charge a $15.00 fee to do this by phone. I am closing this account completly

now. It's not that $15.00 is a fortune but these companies have fee'd the

public to I have death. I cannot believe they would rather loose an account

with a $15,000 credit line and an outstanding payment history and make their

$15.00.
