Wells Fargo is Evil with their Overdraft Policy

Wells Fargo is Evil with their Overdraft Policy I've read so many complaints about Wells Fargo Overdraft Policy I thought I'd share mine. We went overdrawn by $2.00. That evening we deposited over $600.00. By the next day several more purchases totalling close to $50 went through and we didn't have enough funds for those because of the previous fees and the deposit getting eaten by those fees. The worse part is they were all small purchases, lunch at McDonalds, Gas for the car, so all these small purchases totaled, with their overdraft fees, $500 eventually eating up the $600+ deposit. Wells Fargo failed to recognize that $450 of that $500 were there stupid fees. We were charged 15 fees @ $33 a piece. Worse yet, because of all those fees more things bounced which we thought would be covered by the $600 we had deposited. Worse YET, Wells Fargo agreed that what their ATM machines show as available balance and what their website says and what their 800 number says are not all synched up. So basically, each service to check your balance is not fully accurate at any given time. WORSE STILL Wells Fargo basically said, "Too Bad". Literally, from a Bankers mouth "Too Bad" As I was closing my checking account. All in all because of their horrible policy and lack of concern Wells Fargo got away with over $700+ in FEES...FEES!!!!! Nothing of the $700+ was actual purchases, two days later my paycheck went through, the lack of money put me and my wife in a financial bind, we borrowed money from relatives and barely made it through, all because Wells Fargo are greedy, heartless bastards from the depths of HELL and they have such a lack of humanity to see that being overdrawn happens from time to time in peoples lives but raping them in all those fees, especially for such small purchases like $2, DOES NOT HELP! Screw Wells Fargo. According to my calculations, I had enough in my account! I didn't realize what they were doing. I knew that something wasn't right about it though. After I kept, incomprehensively, getting socked with overdraft charges (when my checking account was fine according to my own calculating), I did close my account. And I have never had problems ever since with my current bank!!
What Wells Fargo was doing, was debiting my account for higher amounts FIRST, out of chronological order, before I would have my deposits posted. I had enough in my account to pay for the smaller purchases I made FIRST. They were obviously posting things out-of-order and gleefully DOUBLY charging me with fees. I'd have an overdraft charge applied, PLUS a "late" fee - supposedly for them "paying" for a purchase I made with not enough in my account - calling it "overdraft protection." And then, because those overdrafts were unknown to me, those fees and charges would put my acct in further jeopardy! MORE FEES!! All of this was without me even being aware of what was going on!! I remember constantly being on the phone and trying to REASON with them that, according to MY calculations, I had enough in my account. They DID NOT CARE!! Wow! Reading about what they were doing illegally makes me understand now what was going on. Wish I'd been part of that "class action suit"! But I'd have no proof of my own - I threw away things related to that bank, since I was so angry with them!!! They were double charging me with $20 overdraft and late fees - so, over the years that I was with them, it easily adds up to at least hundreds or even thousands in fees that I paid!!! A mortgage or loan with them is a Stage Coach ride to hell.
