I am interested in finding out how or how I can contact to get my money back.

Back in the begining of April, I applied for a credit card through Freedom Financial Bank. I did not pay attention...my own stupidity, but I never realized that the card I was applying for was a secured credit card. Nor did I realize that they were going to take $250 from my checking account.

When I realized this situation on April 6, 2006, I called the company and explained my situation to them. I was instructed to send a letter of canceling my account. I was told that it had to go before the President's Council on canceling my account. Now they only meet every Friday. So my letter didn't get in front of them until April 12, 2006.

When I called back the following Friday I was told that I would get a letter and my check. I was never given a number (which they call the digital recording number). I called again the following tuesday and was told then that I it could take up to four weeks. So I called when it was four weeks which was at the begining of May. I was then told that it would take up to four to six weeks...now mind you I still haven't received one of there digital recording numbers. I called back on May 26, 2006 and was instructed by the Customer Service Representitve that if I hadn't heard from them by Wednesday May 31 to call them back.

Now even though I cancelled my account three days after the company took $250 from my account I am still waiting eight weeks after for my money. But the funny thing is I haven't even received a card or letter of acceptence.

What can I do to get my money back? Where can I turn to get help in this matter? I am just so frustrated and upset that it has taken me this long. I have never heard of a company reviewing a customer so that they can get their money back if they do not want their service!
