Beyond Fitness Beyond Fitness, Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta Ga I just got off the phone trying to resolve a contract cancellation with the Director of Customer Service in Atlanta. In attempting to cancel my contract I followed the direction of the Beyond Fitness Staff at my gym in Harrisburg, NC. It turns out that the Harrisburg Staff has no idea about the policies of their company. I was directed by their staff to send a certified letter to the corporate office stating I wished to cancel my contract. I was also told that there would be one last bank draft to cover the so called $250.00 cancelation fee. I had no problem paying the fee and did just as I was instructed. I called their office after my bank draft cleared for the month of May to ensure I was out of the contract. I was advised by a very unfriendly customer service director that my contract was not canceled and that I would have to pay $473.00 above and beyond the $260.00 they had just drafted to cancel the contract. The director of customer service then advised me that,"she was not there to hear what their employee told me and even if she contacted him he would probably deny telling me anything". Beyond Fitness recieved my certified letter on 4/27/06. The letter contained all my contact information. They could have called to resolve this issue but I was told by their customer service director that, "it is not the responsibilty of Beyond Fitness to contact its customers if proper procedure had not been followed pertaining to contract cancelations". It is very disturbing the amount of customer nonservice I have recieved dealing with this company. The fact is that instead of contacting a customer to discuss problems, they just put it on the back burner in order to milk every last penny they could out of me. Consumers beware of the Custome Non Service at Beyond Fitness.
